About our Pastor

Tim Maguffee was born and grew up in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He later attended the Air Force Officer Training School in San Antonio, Texas, where he earned a commission in the United States Air Force. He served as a Personnel Officer at Ramstein Air Base in Germany and at Castle Air Force Base in California. He earned a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Ball State University while serving in the Air Force. Upon leaving military service, Tim worked as a Human Resources Analyst for the county school system in Merced for several years, then for Merced Community College and California State University –Stanislaus as the Programs Coordinator at Castle Air Force Base.

 

He attended Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1999. He has served Presbyterian Churches in Salina (First Presbyterian Church – Associate Pastor), Belleville-Concordia – Pastor) and Manhattan (Trinity – Pastor). In 2013 Tim completed a 12-month residency in clinical pastoral education at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. He served as a chaplain for Salina Regional Health Center and Hospice of Salina for nearly 4 years. Tim has also been an active Teaching Elder in the Presbytery of Northern Kansas throughout his ministry.

 

Tim’s wife Becky is a registered nurse and Care Manager for Salina Regional Health Center where she has worked for over 30 years. Tim and Becky have four children and one happy and active granddaughter!
